Who are Direct Heat?
Direct Heat are a Gas Safe registered family business based in the Pontefract area. The main members of staff are the husband and wife team of Paul, our experienced Gas Engineer and Amanda , our operations manager. Over the years, Direct Heat has built up a large clientele of customers based purely on customer recommendations and regular clients. Originally, Direct Heat traded under the google and facebook 5/5 star rated company Another Plumber. However, with Paul’s passion and expertise resting in the boiler breakdowns, boiler installations and boiler servicing area, the team decided to rebrand their business to allow them to work solely on their specialist area; Central Heating and Boilers.

All calls and messages are responded to in a timely fashion. When it comes to boiler breakdowns we understand the frustration and hardship of not having heating and hot water and therefore aim respond to boiler emergency messages and phone calls immediately.

On site, our Engineers will offer advice in a clear and jargon free way to ensure that you understand the work that is being done and why. Our honest and trust worthy ethos ensures that we work with integrity and why customers choose us again and again.

All quotes and invoices will be provided in a timely fashion with clear and open pricing. Direct Heat understands that budgets are different for different people and so with provide different options, where possible to accommodate these different budgets

Meet the Direct Heat team
Our Gas Engineer, Paul Hewitt. Paul has been a Gas Engineer for over 8 years now. Originally a Maths teacher at a local secondary school Paul decided to re train as a Gas Engineer. Paul started his first business in 2015 where it grew from strength to strength before rebranding in 2023 as Direct Heat.
Meet Amanda Hewitt, our operations manager. Amanda started working part time with Paul in 2018. She then became full time Operations manager in 2022. Amanda was previously an English teacher at a local secondary school but now enjoys managing all elements of the operations of Direct Heat
Meet Logan, Logan has worked with Paul since the very start proving to be a valuable team player of the direct heat family.
